New Zealand reports two new local COVID-19 cases

New Zealand has reported two fresh locally transmitted cases ofCOVID-19.

Auckland had announced a snap three-day lockdown on Monday, followingthe confirmation of COVID-19 infection in a family of three, two adults and achild. At least two of them were found to be affected by the more transmissibleUK variant. The two new cases are siblings who study at the same school as thechild, stated COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins.
